Use this service to apply for, new or renew your passport and pay for it online.
If you have giving up your Nigeria passport in the past to obtain German Nationality apply for a fresh passport, but contact your local authority for clearance.
How long it takes
If you need a passport urgently, you can ask for the possibility on the day of your appointment.
Do not book travel until you have a valid passport - your new passport will not have the same number as your old one and the processing time may be longer due to on unanticipated circumstances.

The Consul General Amb. Wahab A. Akande, the new Consul General of the Federal Republic of Nigeria been received by Mr. Dieter Beine and Ms Nina Baumgaertner to Hesse Statehouse in Wiesbaden.
Mr. Dieter Beine the Chief of Protocol to the State of Hesse, officially welcome The Consul General Amb. Wahab A. Akande the new Consul General of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Amb. Akande was received at Hesse Statehouse in Wiesbaden on Thursday, August 5th, 2021 by Mr. Beine and Ms. Nina Baumgaertner.
Mr Beine appreciates the present of the Nigeria Mission in Hesse region and looked forward to a solid working relationship with the Consul General. Read more

The delegation led by Isaac Izoya (Cultural Ambassador) paid the courtesy visit to introduce the Frankfurt-based Ehizoya Golden Entertainment and inform the Consul General on their organisation’s upcoming events in 2022. A Nigerian, who has been living in Germany for more than four decades, has been awarded the country’s national honour, Bundesverdienstkreuz.
Akinbode Akinbiyi, a Berlin-based photographer, author and curator, was one of the 14 citizens conferred with the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany (Verdienstorden der Bundesrepublik Deutschland) by President Frank-Walter Steinmeier on 1 October to mark the German Unity Day. The Consul General Amb. Akande was invited on Friday 10th September 2021 to the Hessian state government regularly welcoming of new heads of professional and honorary consular representations of the Hessian Consular Corps for a joint inaugural visit to the Hessian State Chancellery.
The Minister of State Axel Wintermeyer, Head of the State Chancellery welcomed all new members of the Hessian Consular Corps on behalf of the Hessian state government and got to know them personally and subsequent have a joint discussion with the new members.

Afrobasket 2021: We are African champions again
Defending Afrobasket champions, D’Tigress of Nigeria on the 26th, September 2021 lived up to their rating as Africa’s best when they subdued their Malian counterparts 70-59 in the final of the 2021 event decided inside the indoor hall of the Palais Polyvalent des Sports in Yaounde, Cameroon.
The Malians fought back in the second quarter which they won 13-9 to leave scores at 31-24 in favour of the Nigerians at half time.The second quarter went the Nigerians way while the Malians won the last quarter to end the game 70-59 in Nigeria’s favour.
